Newgrounds can be a strange, picky place. It's like a potluck where you have to arrive with the right food. Narratives bode well, experimental/expressive doesn't. You could be Norman McLaren and get 3.25/5.

The style here is so true to its roots. I can see the influence of comic strips like Mother Goose And Grimm, but the animation, the gags, the sound choices....are you a fan of 60's cartoons perhaps?

Good catch! Yeah, I'm heavily influenced by 1960s cartoons, largely Jay Ward, but also Pink Panther, Gene Deitch (some of the sound effects came from Deitch cartoons), as well as old-school anime.

Wanted to be a newspaper cartoonist growing up. Loved "Mother Goose and Grimm" in particular
